Sophomores are assigned the US HISTORY A packets.
IHS is offering credit recovery packets to students not graduating this year. (Those graduating are assigned PLATO online units.) All packets will be considered enrichment work. This means they are not required to remain in enrollment at IHS and they will only be considered for credit requirements under the following condition.
If a student fully completes a series of packets they may petition the school to allow credit to be issued.
We will issue credit once we have established full completion of the work.
Note: Completion of work means the student has made a good effort to complete the tasks assigned in each packet. As an example, if the task is to write a short essay or a paragraph and the student answers in one or two sentences it would not be considered “Completion of the work.” Or, if a student is asked to write down an answer and the answer does not relate to the question it would not be considered “Completion of work.”
If a student needs assistance on a packet after they have done what they can do (read all directions, looked at the examples and asked people who live with them) they can call the school (208) 785-8825 and leave a message and someone will get back to them. (Make sure to leave a message with a name and phone number). If you are having difficulty with online technology, please email Lesa at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Below are the links to the packets required to earn a credit for this class. Click on each packet and download the material then print the packets at home. Due to State of Idaho orders, the work is done at home. Students have the option to pick up copies of a packet at the school between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm Monday through Friday. No more than two units will be given at a time. Please call a day ahead (208) 785-8825 to be sure the packet you need is ready for you.
